Great run in the big 12 tournament. Going 0-13 to start the championship game and fight your way back against a very good Baylor team. Good luck in the NCAAs.

Us Iowans are very lucky. Within a 65 mile radius, we have 4 teams that have been national championship contenders. Five final fours, Wish the Clones luck, until they meet us. They are very beat and bruised. We have more healing time, no small thing. Set back enjoy!
 
The Heck with the Clowns. I respect them ,but hate them. I hope they get bounced in their first game. Whats the over under on some announcer saying their the Iowa State Hawkeyes?

I was telling my ISU buddies not to worry when they got down quick. ISU was playing as poorly as possible and were never down more than 10 or so. The only way ISU was gonna lose that game was if they had a mental letdown after finally getting over on Kansas that day before.
 
2 seasons that followed a very similar path through the first 20 games. Teams that were nearly identical in performance and obviously they showed very similar in talent in the game in Ames. Unfortunately something happened the last 3 weeks to go in the exact opposite direction.
 
I'm happy for the Cyclones and their fans...they earned it. I do however, wonder if any those fans who are currently jumping through the roof are also the ones who were so quick to point out that Iowa was "only a conference tourney champion" and that doesn't mean anything, when Alford won a couple and called the team "conference champions"...
 
They've definitely got some guys who will go to war with you down in the trenches. I wish we had that type of grit and determination.
 
Iowa State is only a conference tourney champion. Regular season means more (especially in a league with a round robin sched) but that was the most fun I have ever had at a sporting event and they still give you some hardware for it.

Probably also the same people who got excited over ISU's promo video celebrating the FB teams 3 victory season.
