Conference loyalty

I was kinda rooting for Michigan because of that conference loyalty thing but I more entertained than anything and any disappointment I felt that Michigan lost quickly vanished when seeing Harbaugh run off the field a loser.

The only conference team I won't ever root for is Pedo State.

It's a case by case basis. Changes every year.

Nice to see the conference do well, but it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme. It's usually about matchups, and seeing a good game.

It's weird but I usually don't know until I sit down and watch the game. I go in with the intention to root for the B1G teams but sometimes it doesn't happen. I couldn't back Nebraska and Michigan yesterday once I started watching. I did pull for the other conference teams during this bowl season. We'll see with Ohio State. It will be tough with Wisconsin, especially against W. Michigan.

So you are saying that if OSU wins another National Championship and we go 7-5, that helps us how in recruiting? Or what would be even more applicable as someone already mentioned, Wisconsin and Nebraska both blow out their teams in a Bowl.....that helps us HOW?????

And YES, I am jealous of OSU.....but that is not why I'll always cheer against them.....it's their fans. And BTW, get ready to see for the 1 millionth time that fat middle aged WT OSU fan with the painted face and nuts draped around his neck.....GEE, how original to show this A Clown again!!!

I tend to tune in and root for Big Ten teams out of familiarity as much as anything. I do like to see the West gain some respect. In the long term wins gain viewers & fans and has some over all effect on recruiting. I can see it being in Iowa's interest if some teams around them lose. I have always rooted against Illinois for this reason, although I am not sure Chicago area recruits are much interested in U of Illinois at this time.

I think the story of his nickname is kind of funny actually, in a good way. When he was an infant his toddler brother would try to call him "that boy" and it came out as "dabo" and that nickname somehow stuck.
 
Of course you always want the B14 to win. Wasn't there some chatter it was the best conference this season? Someone forgot to tell the ACC ... the frickin ACC!?:eek:

I will never, ever root for Nebraska. I'll never root for Pedo State, either. I hate OSU too, but being the premier team in the conference and getting shellacked like that is not good.

Welp, the conference was badly overrated this year. I don't care about other games, but aOSU couldn't carry Clemson's jock and the rest of the conference has been awful. 2 years, 2 shutouts in the playoffs may mean an undefeated B1G team doesn't get a sniff next year.

But Penn State still got screwed, so I'm happy about that.
