Condensed replay

Awesome! Thanks for posting. Even though I pay for commercial free Hulu, it won't let me fast forward through them which is complete and utter BS.

Is there anyway to get this without commercials but with the weather delays? I miss The insightful comments from Brady Quinn and Reggie Bush

Condensed replays are the best....random thoughts on rewatch:

Stanley overthrew 5 or 6 passes. Still clearly an issue. It was nice to see him scramble a few times

ISM hasn't been a factor yet this year on kick returns.

Goodson is impressive.

AJ is gonna block a punt this year.

If a team is going to run the RPO like ISU does I would level the QB Everytime he pretends to run with the ball.

That's exactly what I said during the game.
My gal said "that was pretty good, I lost track of the ball". I said that is why you hit them. :)

Stanley does so many things well but he still hasn't learned to put the touch on those long balls. Something I doubt he figures out while a Hawk. Maybe as a pro. I don't know how running QBs survive a season uninjured.

Everyone over throws WR's. They just do. In big games, small games. It's just a thing that happens to all QB's. It's not Stanley's best throw, but it's not like he doesn't hit some of those too.

Nate was a gamer Saturday night, couple of huge running plays and 3rd down conversions. Completed over 60% of his passes and was a huge reason Iowa won that game. Iowa likes to knock Nate for not winning the big game. He literally JUST did. He's now 2-0 in Lames and 3-0 vs the 3 best Iowa State teams of the past 100 years? Completing over 60% of his passes for the season and 0 turnovers? 3 straight game of 20+ WR targets? I really hope Nate Stanley can continue this type of high level play, Iowa could be in for a special year if he does. He is straight up balling to start the year.

It is frustrating but it about half the price of Dish TV and the picture quality is surprisingly good.

The big game is coming in three weeks. Win that one and then it going to get exciting. Better get that young secondary up to snuff and hopefully get some of our injured secondary back.

They're all big at this point- but sometimes the light is on bigger. He passed his first test. That was a big game. I am thankful we have such an experienced signal caller and I am trying to enjoy watching a player who could potentially leave the school as an all time great. The nice thing is it's all out there for him.

Great way to rewatch the game. Impressions...
* Wow, Iowa St.'s defense threw the kitchen sink at Iowa's O-line the first half -- running anywhere from 3-6 guys at them, with variation on every play. Yet they never got to Stanley. Really impressive, considering 4 Iowa O-line starters are only starting their 3rd game. While watching, couldn't help thinking: "this is a great rehearsal for Wisconsin's 3-4 defense."
* Stanley is working thru his progressions much faster than previous years.
* So, if Iowa hasn't converted a 2-pt conversion in 3 years, why not put in a series of run/pass options for QB Mansell in those situations? MN has shown time and time again how well that can work both last year and this year when they bring in #17 back-up QB for short-yardage situations -- that's basically how they beat Wisky in Madison last year, by consistently converting 3rd and short. Get Mansell involved and he might even stick around the next couple years. I mean, if you're 0-for 3 years, what do you have to lose?

HULU question - have you found a quick one button way to go to previous channel?

I have not - but if you click on the down button, it typically brings up like the last few channels you've gone to. That's how I've done my flipping around games with it so far.

Yep. the new guide is an improvement but lots of clicks and sometimes I get kicked out. Sometimes I wonder what life is like on YoutubeTV.

I have thought about it too - but to be honest, Hulu hasn't let me down yet. I do miss the "previous channel" feature or the way DTV let me used to make like a "favorite channels" list - but it's a small sacrifice to make to not pay $200+ for cable TV.

60% is nothing to get excited about in today's cfb Lots of guys above 70%, and some above 80!

In general, passing offenses are so far ahead of defenses it's ridiculous.

I get that, I really do, but he's completing overall at a higher percentage then the previous 2 seasons (albeit through 3 games) so that actually DOES have me excited. He's also spreading the ball around. He's not relying on 1 or 2 targets like he did as a soph and jr. I get that we as fans love to move the target, but the knock on Nate coming into the year was his completion %. Before the season, there was endless talk about how if he could JUST get to 60% completion % he would be the QB we all wanted. He's doing that now, and now the target moves a little. Now 60% really isn't that good, in fact, there are some guys going 70 and 80%.....

the dichotomy of Iowa fans and their best players is something I do actually enjoy watching unfold.

I like the idea of Mansell for a few situational short yardage plays on 2 pt conversions or really big time 3rd downs. Nate is also doing great on the QB sneaks.

After watching the condensed replay I noticed the DL and any blitzers got more pressure on Purdy which really messes him up.
We were really giving up too much cushion on some plays as it just made it too easy for Purdy and their receivers.
Sargent and the running backs are really getting good on that first cut and hitting that first hole when their is one and they are good at getting that extra yard or three.

Not a lot of drops, Off line with few if no penalties called.
And wow can Sleep-Dalton flip the field and Duncan is doing awesome.

Perhaps if we get the four defensive backs who were out with injuries healed we could be a lot better back there.
