Coming down the pike?

Any chance that McDermott to Creighton was coming down the pike and that's why Nurse and Gray were hired in the same week, in plans to slide on over the following week?

I don't get this talk about Nurse not having Big 12 coaching experience. He's coached in the NBA D-League- I'd hope this counts as better coaching experience than at the college level.

Pollard has a crystal ball that is renown. He also hired Chizik cus he knew he would be short-timer and that would mean he could grab Rhodes in two seasons.

Pollard- Great AD or Greatest AD?

I'm not sure that it would, but any head coaching experience is a plus.

College is extremely different than the D-league. Not sure which coaching experience is better because they are very different. If i was picking a coach to run my college team i would want them to have head coaching experience at the college level

I'm going to go with just "Great AD". There are just too many out there to declare him the "Greatest".

I mean, take Bob Bowlsby, for example. He had the foresight to let the mens basketball program fall behind an entire generation when it comes to facilities and equipment. He did this knowing that it would contribute to the Iowa program being thrown into utter turmoil, just so that we would be able to hire Coach Caff.

Not having to recruit in the NBA D league is a big difference.

Nurse and Grayer were both hired before Altman was, so I would say there was pretty good intention that they were going to coach with McD the next season.

So do those guys go with him to Creighton???? Creighton is a good gig...great facility and it is packed every night!

Grayer - Highly doubt - has no connections to McDermott

Nurse - Highly doubt - Has said either going to ISU or back to the Energy

Otz - Probably, that is unless we can keep him. Has recruited many of incoming recruits. Would be a terrible loss.
