I didn't notice this before, but I just watched Coker's long touchdown run in the Insight Bowl via tape. They panned to a shot of KF right after...if I'm not mistaken I think he was ready to cry. What do you think he was thinking? My guess...

"Holy crap, I have this guy for three more years!!!!

or

"Was that Shonn Green?"

If he is as good as we think he is. Try two years.

Not to thread jack here but; Last year was one of the worst special teams year in recent memory and no one is talking about it. It cost us at least 1 games last year.

I absolutely agree...and it cost us more than one game...special teams put us in a complete hole at Arizona... fake punt in the Wisconsin game...etc. I'm serious, he may have been thinking, "Crap, now we have to kick off."

I watched it last night and I thought the same thing. That was definitely like a proud dad moment.

This is more of a Shonn Green run.

KF was probably thinking who tapes things anymore?

That was a sigh of relief, they had a cushion and then Stanzi started to go 2009 on us.
I had forgotten just how hard we tried to give that game away. Selective memory I guess.

Given all of the things going on with the program at that time (let's not forget, ARob was arrested less than 24 hours before the game), I think it was a moment of pride that the youngster want going to let his coach down.

2 Mizzou LB's over pursued on that play, great job by Coker and all other 10 Hawks on that play, but that was not "big ten D". It was a Mizzou D breakdown.

Thanks a lot, Debbie Downer. God forbid we get excited about a super-long TD, it must just be because that were defensive breakdowns rather than a well-executed offensive play.

Most long offensive plays involve some sort of defensive breakdown. So did "the catch" for that matter. The offense still has to take advantage of that.
