Cof. Championship Games

if iowa didn't give up a 22 play drive to a QB with a busted throwing shoulder
Well, Wisconsin got one. But I don't know, both 12-0 teams from the west failed against teams from the east with losses. Wisconsin was #1 in defense. Nobody in the West can put up points... They have to rebalance the league, I think. Bring PSU to the west, send Illinois east.

Hey ! I think you've forgotten that the fuskers are going to replace OSU as conference champs from here on out!

the forseeable future looks like Wisconsin will dominate the West. They have to be the one that steals a game or two.

I think Nebby will be back where they were 4 years ago, but who's going to win the Championship game is different. Meyer's pulled two out of a magic hat now. Even a 12-0 Nebby has to fight history, and that history runs through Columbus 8 years out of ten. I don't think we will have a say in the matter for a while.

I really felt like Wisconsin shoulda gotten blown out in that game. The pick 6 and the other turnover that led to a FG kept Wisconsin in that game. 1 offensive touchdown, 2 picks by Hornibrook. Taylor had 15 carries for 41 yards and a long of 7 yards. He just got completely shut down.

Wisconsin seems to have some athletic receivers, but Hornibrook is just terrible

I might have to go back and watch the Iowa vs Ohio State game 20 more times, because knowing everything we know now....that game makes ZERO sense.

I think the league needs to stay as is. Gives Iowa a chance to win the Big 10 west once every ten years.

Especially with the two games that followed.

Nebraska was brought in here to balance out the divisions. They were supposed to be the OSU of the west or whatever it was called when they got here. Just hasn't happened and it may be awhile before it does.

Completely agree. Given the beyond piss poor recruiting and game day coaching staff that’s tremendously overpaid, we need to rename the West the Wisconsin division since they are are in Indy basically every year and we’re praying for a berth in the Music City Bowl. Iowa is going to be in rough shape for the better part of the next 10 years.

What if fOSU beats Wisky convincingly? Do they get a look at for the playoffs?

If Whisky wins convincingly, they gotta be in.
I don't think either B1G teams are in the playoffs. I think that'll go to Alabama.
Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia (in no certain order).

To beat tOSU, just do it (when they least expect it).

I just don't think they can. I've watched OSU take season after season away from them. Even in years when OSU was down, like this one, they just can't get out done.

I really hope OSU doesn't make the playoffs, though, they'll get destroyed.

When OSU won it a few years ago they had great defensive backs (younger ones now), they had a better defense, they had hot Ez Elliott and Cardale Jones was just unconscious. Barrett would have to play a lot better and Dobbins and Weber are great runners but not sure they can do an Elliott this year.

If Michigan gets good quarterback play and ends up in B1G title game maybe Wisconsin or Iowa can get a game played in a phone booth . Then win it late in a defensive battle. I can see something like that playing out.

That's what it would take - a down year by OSU and a lucky defensive battle. Until the West upgrades their offenses, I don't think it's a winnable conference.

This was the best Wisconsin team since Bielama's Rose Bowl loss team (still don't know why he passed 4 times trim the 4 with the nation's best run game).

Wisconsin should have beaten Penn. St. in a shootout last year. Wisconsin winning a shootout is flukey similar to Iowa beating OSU by 30.:)
