Coe says he will be committing to IOWA

Was Coe hurt this year as his stats aren't very much?

Coe, who’s been selected to play in the U.S. Army all-star game, rushed for 554 yards and six TDs for Edwardsville (Ill.) High School this season and was a first-team all-conference pick as a running back. He also caught 10 passes for 185 yards and three TDs. He played linebacker for the Tigers, but is being recruited as a running back at Iowa.

Yes he got hurt his senior year. Not sure exactly when during his season but that is the reason for the low numbers. Anyone have YPC? would be interesting to see those.

Not sure PJ...maybe they used him all over on both sides of the ball so he didn't get many touches to keep him fresh...total guess on my part though.

I would guess, unless he really has his heart set as a RB he will end up being a LB. It's nice to have a big back, but I like Mc Call better. If Mc Call can put on a few pounds while maintaing his quickness, he could be really good. So if Coe wants to be a RB he is going to have some good competetion for the spot and that will require alot of work on his part to secure that position.

Guess we'll see how it all shakes out, but as we've found out, you can never have too many RB's. We've been snakebitten with injuries all too often at that position.

you can never have too many good athletes. i don't care what position. and Coe is a superior athlete.

This is a great get. I am glad we got a couple skilled backs

We need one more in my opinion, but this is a great start

Go Hawks

This a great get. I wish he wouldn't carry the ball like a loaf of bread. He'll learn real quick in the Big Ten to carry it close to the body. The more running backs and athletes the better. Lets go get some more commits. GO HAWKS BEAT MISSOURI. See you there.

You might wanna reassess

Agreed - that is why we have 23 former quarterbacks on our team - a good athlete is a good athlete - chances are we can find a place for them.
