At one point he's just sitting beside coach McCaffery minding his own business & earning his paycheck, next thing coach McCaffery gets the ax & he realizes "Crap, I'm leading this horse!". Did you see the shot of him sitting on the bench. Deer in headlight moment. lol. Luckily, coach Speraw took the reigns.
I, for one, don't mind what happened as it shows his pashion. If it only happens once this year that's fine. Obviously, this can't happen 2-3 times a year. But, I like the energy. Now if he can only control it just a bit more. But, it brings exposure & guys like to play for coaches like that.
The first thing I thought of when he got the ax was "Well, there goes some potential out-of-bound sets". McCaffery usually has 2-3 pretty good ones that work in a game. That's the kind of thing I thought they would get hurt the most in. Oh well. It's over so we need to move on.
I don't even think he really initiated contact. He never even extended his arm or any part of his body. His problem is that he pursued & got to close to get caught. Look at the bright side, maybe this will pay more dividends for this team going forward.
