He seemed pretty excited about the prospect.
I'm not saying its a 4 or 5 star kid, but he had the same gleen in his eye that I saw when I asked Steve Alford face to face if he was excited to see Tyler Smith at Iowa. Steve looked at me and said, you just have to wait and see.
 
I liked that he said IT IS important to get 4 and 5 star recruits, but to also get 4 and 5 star players.

Meaning he knows what kind of talent he needs to be going after. Thank god he didn't say anything about getting guys for the "system"...garbage...

If I never hear the word "system" again, it will be too soon.
 
Sounds to me his system is whatever works on both ends of the court. Making adjustments to make things more difficult for the opponent. Things Lick never did till his last game as HC....go figure.
 
Love it....he had me at "we're going to push the ball!" The rest was just gravy...so exciting to hear the words "Press" and "Iowa" in the same sentence again!!!

I heard that yesterday: There will be a Press Conference at the University of Iowa to announce the hiring of their new coach. :cool:
