Coach ABC does something good. Why didn't KF do that?

It is pretty funny to read these boards the last few days. Any time some other coach does something positive for their program, some Iowa fan will come to this board and whine about how KF wasn't smart enough to do what that coach did.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Actually, no...nothing new outside the previous rhetoric that has been debated all season... In fact, outside of the B1G support/SEC fail threads, it seems like very few new threads or opinions have been made as of late...especially considering we have our bowl game this week/today.

Examples?

No, cause if it ain't broke right? I mean he has things humming along doesn't he? Of course people are looking at what other successful coaches do, it is kind of how success works or lack there of. Everyone loves a winner.

I just did what you are talking about before reading this thread.

Do you remember KF's quote after Wadley ran for over 100 yards the only time this season by a hawk. IIRC KF said something like 'I am not sure if that is a good thing" and he may have been cheeky trying to say 'uh oh Wadley is now annointed ' or ' this is going to go to wadley's head' but come on, praise the kid and the offensive line and WRs for blocking, that is all you got to say.

Who wants to play for what outwardly looks like a curmudgeon??? I think behind closed doors KF has his players' backs but he needs to show it in public

My issues with Ferentz are his stubbornness and clock management. Those are the areas where I'd wish he'd change and I don't really like comparing him to other coaches in terms of what they do better.

Outside the Orange Bowl in 2002 Ferentz has done a great job preparing his team for bowl games. Hopefully that continues today and we get to see some CJ and don't have to worry about clock management.

Yesterday was a great bowl day. Great games, great play, and guys stepping up in big ways in big situations. If you ask me, the glaring thing that stands out about the way all the top teams play is the fact that they play fearless football. Their offenses aren't afraid to throw the ball in any situation at any point on the field.

This is in stark contrast to our leadership.

Has anyone noticed how Urban Meyer cuts his steak and drinks his milk? Gosh, I wish Kirk Ferentz was more like that.
