Face it, the man can't do it all. He had another masterful game plan but the players just didn't execute. And the decision to punt was correct. If Iowa didn't pick up the first down, Indiana would have practically been in scoring range. Best to punt and hope the defense can get a quick stop.

I can't believe the "fans" that are bailing on Kirk just because of a few bad luck games. Give the man time...although next year might be a struggle because of having to break in a new QB....in another 2-3 years Iowa will be contending for a bowl game....just wait!

Coach Ferentz is giving it his all....we fans need to be more supportive.

I feel bad for him too.. $3.8 millions dollars and pat on the back $250k for his son. Yeah we need to get behind him and shove him all the way out of town.
 
Seriously guys, I agree with the OP. You can't expect Ferentz to have a chance against a coaching legend like Kevin Wilson. That just isn't even fair. Plus all of the built in advantages the Indiana football program has over Iowa such as prestige, history, attendance, etc. Everything is fine, nothing to see here, just move on.
 
I'm giving him 2 more seasons. If he can't get this straightened out then the only thing behind him will be my shoe up his ARSE.

I will stay behind Kirk if he takes care of the offensive CORDINATOR position in the off season. We have seen enough of Davis.
 
What good will it do to bail on Kirk? He *is* going to be the coach for the next 4-5 years...MINIMUM. Might as well just accept it.

Besides...remember what happened when Tom Davis was run out of town.

When you NEED a win, you shouldn't play NOT to lose.....cause you'll lose. Not only is Iowa bad, they are completely benign.

We are the girl in high school that no one remembers....so unaccomplished, so bland.

Not to mention, it really could be worse, like, ya know, 40 years ago, when the Hawks were 0-11 and we cheered a 1st down! C'mon you spoiled youTHes. Us FOLKS will take 4-8 as the "down" times because we know how really bad it could be. That, and, as long as it's done the right way. Which it is because the boys play hard, stay clean and the top man is a great guy.
 
Give it up boyz! Heard both Barta and Haddy say today that everyone knows that Ferentz is the perfect coach for the University of Iowa and he's not going anywhere. Nor should he. It's going to be tough, but we may as well just sit back and hope that somehow sanity creeps into the head coach's office and he decides to make some changes. Otherwise, we'll just have to hope lightning strikes the program again.
 
You think I'm trolling?!? I'm just being realistic and frankly, reality sucks right now as far as Iowa Football goes.
