Nope, no truth to this. Even with the third party ad economy being down, our revenues outstrip costs. And having done this for the last decade, I know that will continue to be the case. It will always at the least pay for itself, which means its gonna be around as long as I am breathing air ;)

Suspect Jon's solicitation is driving speculation about the site's financial health. It should not surprise anyone that there are CF fans who do not realize sometimes you try to raise additional money because you have plans for something bigger and better.

Well ****, JD must have fled to Rio with my "support." He should be able to get by for a solid 2-3 hours.
 
I can understand people thinking that. I nearly went with a donation bucket when I first started this three years ago, as some of the largest free sites do that or have done that. I know three of them personally, sites that are three or more times as large as this community, who still do an annual donation drive to offset some operating costs. But, unless you get around to other free sites, you wouldn't know that.

Good to hear Jon. I'm sure a lot of posters figured we were nearing the end when Duff became a Mod.
