So Iowa State skids into postseason as losers of six of their last eight, have had internal issues in practice and on the court, and are still seen as a solid five seed in Lunardi's bracketology.

Their NET ratings remain higher bc they aren’t getting blown out. Losing at home to a top 10 team by 8 isn’t the same as losing by 15 to Rutgers at home.

How about getting rolled by West Virginia? That's as bad if not worse than the Rutgers loss. Their loss at home to TT is also comparable to our road loss at Wisconsin. Iowa has sucked don't get me wrong, but it's kind of ridiculous that we have a better record, won the head-to-head, aren't in a worse slide than them, yet we're probably a 9 seed right now and they're still a 5. There's really no logic to it.
