Clock Management....

sometimes seems that way. but we're not there with the x's and o's ...so while I think that way occasionally, I usually just throw up my hands.

Of all the things to be upset about with the game today people are mad that we scored to early. It wasn't like we had dominated in the scoring department and the receivers were wide open.

Terrible clock management.....behind by 4...3 minutes left.....points are our enemy and clock is our friends. Ill bet KOk moves his clock ahead tonight.

Iowa had Timeouts as the clock was winding down at the end of the game. If Indiana scored Iowa wouldn't have any time left for a shot at a FG. Kinda similar to the Wisconsin game Iowa was content with letting Wisconsin drain for the victory.

A buddy mentioned clock management to me this evening. I never thought about it until now. It's true.

Give OP a break on clock management but don't give him break on coaches comment!! I understand OP didn't elaborate but I'm thinking he is referencing end of game if Indiana scored. I"ve heard it mentioned a couple times and even on Soundoff tonight. If Indiana didn't drop that ball guess who is complaining about poor clock management.

Play clock management is very poor as well, I'll never understand why it takes KOK so long to get a play in, whether its the signals or what, we continually break the huddle with about 12 secods on the play clock and I dont think it gives Stanzi enough time to read the D or maybe checkoff when the clock is down so low.

There's plenty to complain about, but not this. You don't stop the clock for the other team when they are at midfield with 1:45 to play. Look back at the play by play. Indiana wasn't exactly milking the clock. Their last five plays took 25 seconds combined.

Unless they have a big play to get down inside the 20 with a lot of time left, all you want to do is keep them out of the end zone. Everything else is irrelevant.

please tell me youre drunk...
otherwise you've successfully posted some of the most completely stupid threads I've seen on here...

I posted this earlier while listening to sound off, it was discussed briefly. I also stated this year, not today. It is simply my opinion!!

what exactly was wrong with Iowa's clock management? Just something to complain about perhaps?

listen, i'm not going to throw iowa's overall clock management under the bus- but serously you can't tell me you thought our offense got everything out of a senior QB and a "genius" OC on that drive before half.

This.

Yeah, we gave them too much time in the end. But it was because we completed a 40 plus yard bomb to McNutt. Clock management otherwise was out of our hands.
