Clemmons

Giving him some extra minutes might be a good idea...at least while he's hot. Clemmons is 7 for 13 from 3 over the last 5 games. He's 6 for 8 over the last 3 games. Uthoff is shooting .368 from 3 for the season and Clemmons is 2nd on the team at .359. He's also finished at the rim a few times recently.

Clemmons doesn't play with enough confidence to be relied upon. He plays very passively out there. He's a very reluctant shooter. He has to be pretty wide open or the shot clock winding down for him to. I'm with you he's shown that he's capable in stretches. But I doubt you'll see him shoot 10 times in a game...

I like Clemmons. He seems to always give a good effort and plays hard nosed defense. The team's overall ball movement seems to go stagnant when he's at point. I agree with Hawkfnntn, he isn't looking to shoot. He passes up open shots all the time. He will shoot it in a clock crunch and does have a decent looking shot. More minutes from Clemmons wouldn't result in more shot attempts.

I noticed that late in the Purdue game, when Iowa was forced into a "small" lineup, that Fran ran offensive sets that spread the floor and allowed Gesell to go stronger to the basket. That was an unusual set for Iowa to use, I think. If White and even Gabe can't play and we are forced into a smaller lineup, I wonder if Fran will go to more of a spread the floor type of offensive game, which of course would rely on the guards to do more on offense. At that point, would be interesting to watch what Sap does.
