I have to tell you I jumped in here to read about AC, and ended up chuckling out loud…funny stuff. And I mean that sincerely, some of you cats are laugh out loud funny. Now with that said I have not nor would I watch hard knocks. In fact I had forgotten it existed and it didn’t even register when I read the thread title. I had thought Adrian just jacked someone up on the field….lol
I’m kind of out of touch with reality TV and truth be told I don’t like it. I think it’s part of a lot of things that is ruining our world…but hey that’s just me.
Now old fashioned football on the other hand I can’t get enuff. Hard Knocks wouldn’t be football to me.

You are clearly right and I will not. I haven't liked any reality sports, cooking, fighting, etc, etc, etc...show ever. I find it stupid and I honestly don't even believe it’s all sincere.
So if your position is I don't know, that’s fine, I’m okay with that. I'm not judging that you do, quite obviously it’s taken over the world so plenty of people must, but I do not.

What I object to is your closed-mindedness. You've nevar watched Hard Knocks, yet somehow you KNOW you wouldn't like it.
You don't see a problem with that thought pattern, Chad? Like maybe, oh I don't know, that it's really prejudicial??

Very, very rarely....I did watch the Marcus Dupree show (after the fact on YouTube or something)...mostly because I was a huge Dupree fan and I personally feel he is one of the 3 0r 4 greatest running back talents ever to play. He was amazzzing..!!!
And for some reason, I watched something about the wrestler Razor Ramone awhile back because one of my salesmen asked me too. Also on the computer after the fact.
See here is what you don’t know about me…..I don’t listen to the sound during football games a lot. I get tired of the over dramatizing (funny considering I know…) and the stupid comments. Building up every moment, like I don’t already get the implications……I especially don’t during Iowa games (probably not that odd as I’ve heard others say the same) because it moves my heart up and down in my chest. But I actually find myself turning down the volume more and more all the time, even during these myriad of high school games I watch.
So I’m not to inclined to hear what others have to say about a situation after the fact for sure. I did use to watch some NFL films stuff, but there are things I’m typically way more interested in watching.
Like DVR’d football games, World of Outlaws I’ve DVR’d, obscure movies I’ve never watched nor probably will but I DVR’ them anyway…and the guide. You’d hate watching TV with me….I read thru the Direct TV guide multiple times during a TV sitting, over and over again.
Besides the fact, that I work a lot, I have 5 kids and a wife to share the TV with, we don’t believe in multiple TV’s in the house and I get enuff “real” life…I don’t need to see anyone else, yelled out, embarrassed, upset, even excited.
So no I do not like reality TV.

Hmmm...OK, I think I've been duped. A couple of clues in that last post suggest to me that Chad is in fact an alt who is doing some trollin'.
I don't like reality TV at all, but Hard Knocks is the only exception, easily one of my favorite shows on right now.
Again, if you are football fan, it's mandatory television. If you don't like it, than you are not a football fan, you are probably just a fan of one particular team.

Fair enuff and I suppose at times I can be, but you are kind of missing it here friend. I don’t think reality TV is “good” TV or even good for us. So I have no doubt there are some nuances of “Hard Knocks” that would be interesting. In fact there are some interesting things on these stupid cooking shows my wife watches, but I still don’t like it and I hate how they have taken over the air waves. So in kind and not wanting to be overly hypocritical (aren’t we all a little bit) I’m not going to put a lot of effort into watching “any” reality TV.
Ive watched some reality sports stuff briefly on BTN among others. Like The season (wasn’t that a show) or the Illinois football program or whatever….I don’t find it to be my thing. Here is another small incite into my persona…..
I’m probably quite odd in that, I really don’t embarrass easily or hardly at all. I’m not afraid to look stupid or dumb or strange and often times within a short time of meeting someone I’ll tell them I’m crazy just to take the doubt away and the power of judgment or “hurt”. But here is the odd part…I’m seem to get it a lot, vicariously thru others, especially on TV. So I avoid watching movies or programs that make me squirm for people at all costs. I don’t mind “crying or feeling” per se (I cry a lot anymore) but I don’t like to see people screamed at or “taught” or in generally embarrassing situations at all. It sounds stupid I’m sure and I’m probably not even relating it to you well. Made all the more odd by the fact that I don’t mind fighting, mayhem, gore, etc…..but I don’t like “real life” embarrassment or pain”
So I ask you…knowing that why would I like “real”ity TV…..
