Clayborn Effort

I understand the disappointment the team must feel heading into the Minnesota game. The most distressing thing was watching him get blown off the ball and not really caring at the end of the game when we needed a stop. They ran right at him.

At some point, you have to show some pride and man up.

When you are in the heat of battle, you should forget the records and what's on the line, and beat the guy in front of you and take it personally. He didn't.

If I were an NFL scout, this would disturb me and force me to shy away a bit. Granted, if he shows well in the combine...maybe it doesn't matter. I've always been a huge fan of his and have had trouble reconciling what I saw yesterday.

I just don't get it.

I just don't buy it. There were 10 other people on defense this year and Clayborn has taken an awful lot of heat. To be honest, maybe he didn't "give up", maybe our team and defense was just overrated, maybe our coaching schemes have just been beaten, maybe "fate" ruled that we not win close games, maybe we didn't tackle well(especially at MN).

Or maybe our offense put the D in tough spot all year long, over and over and over again, and we got beat.

I know there are 10 other players on defense but from my point of view it really looked like AC quit out there and I think Minny thought so too because they kept running the ball at him.

I agree where were the other 10 players who were missing tackles all game long?

The ten other players are not all-americans with 1st round NFL draft status. He was almost 10 yards from the line of scrimmage on a few running plays to his side. It was crazy.

A get the team effort thing...but maybe I was expecting more. When you are the best player on the defense...the expectations come with the status.

Ballard is also a player with 1st round draft potential. Why arent you calling him out?
