Per Andy Hamilton from the register. Needs to bulk up a bit, but good to see Clark is going to be a Hawkeye

alright! good to see Andy's on top of his game for the DMR, maybe now that paper won't suck as much.

Awesome! Hopefully this starts the ball rolling just like two years age. FF, do you know if Clark took all his visits?

Let me guess, Nebraska #1? Hope we can change that, as good as Clark is, watching Gilman, he is more physical and appears to have a little more of that Iowa style

I am not even sure he took 1 visit, let alone all of his visits. IMO this was a no brainer for the Hawks and Cory just needed to wait for the right time to iron out the details.

Congrats to the Clark family first off. I LOVE that he is a Hawk. Now go get your 4th title Cory and we'll see you in a Hawk singlet soon!!!

Should be some more good news coming soon......

I went to high school with Cory's mom and dad. Happy to hear that he is joining the Hawkeye family.

My guess is with Gilman and Clark projecting at the same weight, Iowa is not willing to throw a whole bunch of money at Gilman. Also, they would have to give more for an out of state recruit like Gilman with the hike on his tuition, relative to Clark.

I don't think either one would have much trouble bumping to 133. Gilman actually lives in Iowa and should be considered in state.

Gilman is considered instate as they live in CB. Thomas has not heard from Iowa since Fargo and the assumption is that there is no interest there, so he is moving on. I expect to see him at Nebraska, but there has been heavy interest from OSU, ISU and Mizzou.

Can someone please explain the perceived lack of interest on Iowa's part in regards to Gilman? Is there a flaw that the coaches see, or is it money? I'm no expert, but man, this seems to be a no-brainer.

There is no interest right now, and only the Iowa coaches would know their reasoning. There definitely has been quite a few people in the Iowa coaches ears about him.

If it is anything other than lack of $$$ re Gilman then is seems like a major blown call not going after him. I just don't get it. I just hope he does not become a thorn in our rear end while wrestling for another team. PSU has grade A recruits coming out of their ears; we need to keep pace. Gilman is Grade A.

Well, Clark is still Iowa's only official commit. I haven't read any rumors lately, but I'm confident there must be something in the works for 197. Any updates?
