If he is not being used often and effectively up to this point, especially against Central Michigan, is there hope, even the potential for him to be effective in the regular season against bigger and better opponents?
 


When you sift on a block (niu) drop a critical pass ( isu) and stand there with your thumb in your *** on an onside kick, you shouldnt be starting IMO
 


I thought you were talking about the mental error on the on side kick. Puts his hands up in the air like "I better not touch that".

But he would have got hit if he would have gone after that ball on the onside kick, ouch!
 




Maybe cause he's not that great?.?. idk, I haven't seen much evidence from him he's any kind of "weapon" were not using.

Do these kids even understand the rules of the game? That was about as smart as letting UNI get the ball and a second fieldgoal attempt. Both plays equally ignorant.
 


Every player that got flagged for a personal foul should be running stairs all damn week.

He is a talented player and your comment is indicative of the Hawkeye wagon jumpers. I love how you can pick out one player and blame him for this debacle. We have taken a big step backwards with Davis calling the plays and I am no KOK lover. Vandy is not even close to being a solid QB. There are drops but his throws are rarely in the right place to catch them and make a play. CJF runs good routes but is rarely used as is the other TE's. Predictable play calling because everyone knows that who ever is the OC, KF calls the plays. If you watch you will see catches but no yards after the catch about 75% of the time. How do you call an out pattern on 3rd and 9 and then throw it one yard behind the line of scrimmage. If it wasn't for the Weisman factor we would have gotten killed last week as well. This is a very poor coaching staff and if they don't get into the 21st century we will never see a 10 win season again. We need a new HC, DC and OC next year or its going to be ground hog day again. KF is a great man, a good neighbor, a good father but a below average coach. Our style worked in 30's and 40's but we need to grow into 2012. Its like watching Bob Cousy taking set shots against todays NBA players.

What do you see that makes you call him talented? Workout warrior does not a football player make.

He may very well be great, but I have seen nothing on the field to suggest that.

CJF? Is that the guy who runs 2 to 3 yard routes and is always tackled immediately because his QB is staring at him the entire time even when others are running wide open in the middle of the field?

I don't know how good cjf really is, but I 100% agree with everything else. We NEED a change!

By cleaning house Iowa would be WORSE than they are now for longer. Iowa basically has what amounts to a new staff. Not sure a complete house cleaning improves anything.

What are you talking about? I didn't blame CJF for the loss, just asked why there is such hype around him. He has good size and had recruiting stars next to his name; but as a college football player he has done very little to merit the attention he gets online.
