CJB

Sounds like CJ has been looking pretty good at the senior bowl preps. A few more weeks and I think he'll be back to the 2015 CJ. Just had to get away from Fort Ferentz for awhile.

Here's a highlight. Notice who the defender is.

If we do well at the start of next season all these naysayers can eat crow.

I think we already do.

That's the mystery meat at Kinnick.

Just kidding. Our concessions are second to none!

Now will there be any of that $90 million left over from the skybox additions that they MIGHT upgrade OUR concessions down in steerage Grandpa?

Not that we need any upgrades because they are second to none!

Well, just watched the game. CJB didn't impress in my opinion. He didn't seem to have that many snaps though.
At the same time, the South D line was pouring in as well.

His one TD throw that got called back was a pretty good throw. Back shoulder of the receiver where only he could go up and get it.

Other than that, yeah overall kinda meh. Not much help from his OL (wonder where I've seen that before), but he could have done a better job sensing the pressure as well.

CJB threw one long TD but it was called back for a facemask. Other than that he had one good run for a first down and that was it. Looked about like the last 5 games.

So CJ completes a pass in a completely non-game situation,
and some of you are saying Wow, look... CJ is back to form?
Unreal.

Yea, unfortunately CJ looked just like he did all year, unable to find a receiver, unable to feel pressure and move up in the pocket, and off target even on the long pass that was called back (underthrown but bailed out by a great receiver).

There was a reason he didn't play in the 2nd half. Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised by our receivers this fall with a new qb and coach.

I'm honestly ready to move on. I appreciated CJs warrior mentality, but his lack of improvement in pocket awareness, his inability/unwillingness to take off if the play broke down, his inability to even attempt to try to throw guys open just wasn't working. Excited to see what a new QB and offensive staff can do...

But he's got a complete cannon for an arm, among other NFL traits.
Aren't you excited to see how he performs at the next level?
;)

I guess I will wait for the NFL to decide on CJ. I wish him the best. He has a lot of other talents he can rely on in the future that have little to do with football.
