CJB - NFL

When CJB goes in the draft next year, what round do you think he goes in? What team? I really like the possibility of him going in the first round and having higher profile high school qb's look at us as a possible destination. Just have a feeling that if we can have one qb drafted in the first round, it might change the landscape of our program. Seems to be the missing piece to year in and year out success. Thoughts?

I think the biggest missing pieces were the practice facility and Kirk's apathetic/stubborn attitude. We know the practice facility piece is now in place and it appears that Kirk really is reinvested 100% and has been showing more and more willingness for change the last 2 if not 3 years.

If the team, specifically the offense, can remain healthy or at least quite a bit healthier than last year, look out! I could definitely see CJ going in the 1st round. I also hope that we can have a kicker break through, cuz I won't be surprised if we need a field goal to win a game or two for us.

1st round would make CJ a top 3 qb coming out pretty much... I'm not so sure about that but I won't say it's impossible. But It's a long shot. I'd say put him on the 49ers and have him learn Kellys system. He's able to run some and has the quick gun to make the throws his system would demand. Plus they clearly need a young qb to mold because what they currently have is a disaster waiting to happen... If he went there in the 2nd round that'd be a solid pick.

Quick release, can double clutch and throw accurately, very good feet, accurate overall, I think a bright football mind, very good pocket awareness, and he showed he can hang in there and take a hit, even very cheap shots like against Pitt. It all depends how many QBs there are and how many teams need a QB right off the bat.

Way too early to tell and even though his Grandfather flopped on a QB pick while GM in San Diego, I bet there are still many NFL personnel who will be giving him a call to talk about his Grandson. His 'Skins teams in the 80s were money. Always remember Sumerall and Madden calling the Cowboys / Skins games. Best announcing combo for a late Sunday afternoon in the fall. (liked Dick Enberg and Merlin Olsen also but they did the AFC game of the week).

I think he will go in the 3rd. But he may go earlier.
He has a big arm, quick feet, and is pretty smart.
And he has a grandaddy who was a NFL executive. He will get points for that.

He's gotta clean up some of the accuracy issues with the short and intermediate passes. His biggest benefit is that he plays in a pro style offense, the next 2 or 3 years the pipeline is running dry for ready made NFL quarterbacks if he can stay healthy he has a legit shot of being a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Deshaun Watson is clearly the best prospect, but if the 2nd tier is Baker Mayfield, absolutely CJB can work his way into that 2nd tier.

I don't know, most guys who get pulled out of the depth chart halfway through the season for having too much swagger don't get drafted very high. And Rudock was a superior athlete and he dropped to the sixth round after having the Harbaugh touch added to his resume.

C.J. has to not only prove that last year was not a fluke but needs to improve from last year. I'm not sure he would go in the first even if he has a great season. NFL scouts will probably hold his size against him.
