CJ Will Start v Purdue

Wise decision, Woody.....

My gradually receding hairline will be receiving implants starting today.....

Gonna hit the Clubs until closing time every night sporting my new do.....

Voluptuous Babes on every arm.....

Exactly how many arms do you have, Jack?

There are other things that could happen.

CJ gets first drive. Moves team downfield. We get ball to Purdue 40, run it twice and pick up a yard, CJ throws a perfect strike to the back corner of the endzone but it is bobbled and incomplete. Go out of drive with no points and Kurt returns to Jake, with CJ riding pine until Jake gets hurt again.

That would cause maximum frustration so it must be the plan.

Where are all the Ferentz haters?

I think he deserves some credit here. He made a decision a lot of people didn't think he would make.

Don't know enough about how he came to this decision. If Rudock is too sore or injured to play, he had no choice. If not, then I agree. He deserves credit. Any link or article that sheds some light on it, would be appreciated.

Every arm? How many arms you got, jack? You have three or somthin'? Um....okay. Don't answer that.

I don't think we'll ever know the real story of his decision.

Did KF tell us the truth about Brandon Scherff's injury?

Is KF telling us the truth about Rudock's "injury"?

Loving that CJ is the guy this week and can't wait to see how he performs from start to finish. Does Kirk deserve credit I'm not quite sure yet. With everything said this week I'm guessing JR isn't completely ready to go and hasn't fully recovered. IMO The Indiana game will be the true judge if credit should be dished out. Nothing changed for me I'm still in the camp that a fully healthy JR is Kirk's QB.

Agreed. A decision of CJB over JR vs Indy will be noteworthy. This is simply consistent application of the rules ... limited paractice = limited or no play, especially when it's a close call.

Merely a pair, ATL, Dolls have ripped the sleeves off my coats and shirts to grab ahold.....

Well, this is certainly good news. I was getting ready to burn this mother down if CJ didn't start tomorrow.

You know, with the recent events that occurred at Chicago aircontrol, I don't know if I'd be saying stuff about burning stuff down. But hey it does get your point across.

Ruddock had a solid year one, but this year watching the offense has been like watching paint dry, and the play spontaneously became exciting with goldy locks in. Nothing against Jake and his abilities, even with similar talent levels, I think this team responds better to Cj's skillset.

We not have a show stopper at wideout but as a whole the wr-core has great depth. And it appears that depth is being sorely underused. Some of it might be the play calling but I don't think it'd hurt to add someone with better arm strength as well as someone willing to throw in tight coverage.

I bet Kirk was going some kind of crazy between the ears having to bus to Purdue....break in routine...he hates that.

"One of 3 things can happen:

1. CJ does what we all think he can do, and continues the momentum from the Pitt game and we have a stud quarterback for the next few years.
2. CJ shows the world why KF should start JR.
3. CJ just does ok, we squeeze out a close victory against Purdue and we have a QB controversy."

Beathard could get sacked by Purdue in all out blitz's the first couple times he drops back to pass. He'd suddenly develop happy feet
and start throwing checkdown after checkdown after checkdown. Tyler Weigers would instantly become the obvious choice/fan favorite. I think Beathard's going to slice/dice/chop Purdue's defense with the precision of a surgeon & throw for 300+ yards in his first collegiate game as a starter. The Hawk's running game will blossom with room to operate and roll for 200+ yards. Hawkeyes win: 48-13.
When was the last time iowa rolled someone by that score? Kirk acted ****** when Beathard scored that last td against nebby

This is a perfect opportunity to test drive CJ. But make no mistake, KF is just looking for a reason to put his boy JR back in. Sunshine's gonna be on a short leash.

On the other hand, if CJ looks good he's going to have a hard time keeping him off the field. Advantage CJ.
