Remember back in September when someone had that free code to watch the first few non-conference games on BTN.com and then the code was expired after you signed up? Well I was just looking at my bank statement and they charged me 14.95 for a recurring fee for "signing up" for it. Check your bank statements so you don't get hit with this charge also. It was weird because I looked through my history and this is the first time I have been charged since I tried to use that code in September Here's what the charge looks like.

I called and they are refunding my money and cancelling my account. Hopefully no one else is running into this inconvenience.
 
Completely forgot about that until I saw the charge. Easy to cancel and get the refund though.
 
I have the charge too. What did you fine gentleman say to get the cancellation and the refund, if I may ask?

I set myself a reminder at the begining of last month to make sure I cancelled the account for this very reason. I did that and have no charges. Thanks for pointing this out and reminding me to check.

I just said that I got charged but never had the service because of the coupon that wasn't honored. It sounded like they get a lot of those calls, said he would cancel and money would be back in 7-10.
 
Many different web subscriptions do this. They are betting that a lot of people miss the overcharge or recurring charge on their statements, and I'm sure that many do.
 
Got mine cancelled and refunded as well. That was about the easiest billing call I've ever experienced. They don't try to fight you at all.
 
Good post. I would also recommend following up in a few days to make sure the cancellation went through. I had their streaming audio a couple years ago and I got billed two more months after they allegedly canceled my account and it took a half dozen calls to finally get the billing stopped.
 
I received confirmation emails pertaining to both the cancellation and the refund, safe to say I will be holding onto those for a few months, just in case.
