Be honest Jon. Ferentz, Davis and Vandy were absolutely, inexcusably awful.

how was ferentz awful. and although the fans didnt like every play call...i didnt hate the play calling.

i know people get tired of hearing it but execution was the problem today

You do realize you can blame execution for every loss in every team sport ever in the history of the world, right? It is the coaches job to have the players prepared to execute. Did our offense look prepared to execute today?

Do you call never looking off your primary receiver poor execution or poor fundamentals? I say poor fundamentals and a coach who lets a player with poor fundamentals continue to play is failing. Kirk shows no emotion on big plays and his team sees and feels that and don't get up and keep the momentum going. Greg Davis was the wrong choice....another poor decision by KF....hes well past time to go. When UNI win next week and they should I can only hope its all more clear for the people who hold out faith this guy is going to one day just get it again.

I hate you Jon, you are annoying as **** on video and a giant tool in text. If you were a wrench, I would have lost you in a ******* at a construction site on purpose.

You can rarely have a good developmental program AND a good executing program. There are only so many hours in the day for practice and you either have to devote your time to development of player ability and fundamentals or execution of plays. Given the level of recruits we have, we are required to spend more time on development than execution, especially early in the year which is why we typically get better as the year goes on and which is why our execution is better in years when we have better more seasoned players.

Nice rationalization. 14 years into the program..... I duno.

Trust me....im not rationalizing! After 13 years we should have a better caliber recruit and shouldnt have our youngest team in over 15 years. Im simply stating why our execution sucks on a consitent basis...

Actually I was expecting the loss to be much worse after last weeks game. The defense actually performed fairly well and showed definate improvement over last week. The pass blocking also improved over last week also. I hope the players can keep improving week by week. By the time we get to league play we might be able to keep from losing the games by more than twenty points. :D I hate losing to Iowa State.
