It seems like Ohio State is trying to cover its ass here just in case. It's not like it needs him for Maryland. Fryowa could line up at DE and the Bucks would win by 40.

Fant must not realize that tOSU was the one who suspended him due to an internal investigation and not the NCAA. Knowing how tOSU hands out their punishments it must be pretty serious for tOSU to suspend him for a game. Perhaps the NCAA should get involved, they would have to vacate wins if they used an ineligible player.

Best player on arguably one of, if not the best teams in the country, right now. I see this being swept under the rug really quickly. I just have this feeling that they'll look the other way, or dismiss it and magically reopen the investigation in the offseason. Nothing more than a tap on the wrist at most.

Why would Fant or any projected top level talent hang around to possibly get hurt in one of the 50 meaningless (bonus...coaches $$) bowl games?
