Nothing over-sized, no "day-glow", no frickin Media Con Court advertiements and put the students on the side-lines that shows up on TV.
More and more of the fat donors (are aging and dying) can be placed on the non TV side with wider seats to accompany their big butts. On the student side put in bleachers and no frickin aisles that are a mile wide... The space can easily cram in 3 to 4 K of students who get in free but have to wait in line.
Is any of this so hard to do Gary Barta?

Completely agree. I like that logo almost as much as I like the tigerhawk itself.

Find out how much Mediacom paid to have their god-awful logo put on the court. Then everyone donate to JDM with the understanding that all proceeds go towards getting the HawkeyeNation logo put on the floor.
I'm sure someone with some Photoshop skillz can make a mock-up.

I think the yellow idea is great (throwback). As much as I've disliked it in the past... I also like the parquet. I only disliked it back when we sucked however many years ago with Lickliter, and that just put me in a bad iowa-basketball mood.
Yellow paint, parquet. Also I can't stand the oversized mid court logos. I love the small halfcourt logos though.
Which brings up another point, should we rock the state silhouette at halfcourt? Maybe with the tigerhawk inside of it

For some reason, I have never really cared all that much for the parquet. It's ok I guess, but I think it reminds me of some really bad flooring in an apartment that I used to live in. But I do like the yellow paint as opposed to the black. I also am one who liked Purdue's court better when it was gold instead of the black.
That's an interesting idea on state silhouette at mid-court.. Although be prepared to have some Hoosier fans accusing us of being ripoff artists.
On their court, I'd say it looks good. I thought Illinois had something similar on their court once upon a time, too, if memory serves.

If we're going to change it, let's really change it. Nostalgia is for losers.
Highlighter yellow -- great with blacklights. Like Baylor or Michigan, only brighter. Five-star recruits love the crazy glow in the dark uniforms.
Then, paint some crazy design on the floor so that shooters will really be confused, like Oregon's mess:
I'm thinking like a big hawk's eye -- scary and huge, like this:
Then pay back whatever we got from Mediacom, and tell them thanks, but no thanks.

The Parquet has been there for a while .. like back in the '80s. A friend of mine commented to me that the only floor that should be Parquet is Boston Garden. I didn't agree with him as I like it.
