CFP rankings show Notre Dame as #10.
Notre Dame is 6-2.
Losses: #3 Texas A&M and Miami - NR
Wins:
Purdue 2-7 0-6 B10
Arkansas 2-7 0-5 SEC
Boise St 6-2 4-1 MWC
NC State 5-4 2-3 ACC
USC 6-2 4-1 B10
Boston Col 1-8 0-5 ACC

Half of their wins have come against teams who are winless in their conference.
Conference record of P4 'wins' 6-20
How in the hell does ND come in at #10?
One could argue Iowa's resume thus far is similar (or superior) to ND.

There are 7 teams with two losses ahead of Iowa. I haven't looked closely yet, but a win against Oregon likely leapfrogs them over most. I'm a little surprised Oregon isn't ranked a couple spots higher though.

I thought the thread was going to be about Iowa being solidly ranked at #20.

Notre Dame is ranked highly in computer models. Sagarin 6, Massey 9, 5 FPI.

I don't really mind. Whoever goes 10-2 or better won't have anything to worry about. If Iowa wins out, we're in.

If Notre Dame loses another game, mostly likely out.

Agree on Oregon. And, a lot of these two loss teams are going to lose another game. The key will be to stay a two loss team.

The rankings were pretty fair as far as I am concerned. I don't give two shits about ND other than I actively root for them to lose against everyone except Nebraska, but they have had some legit games. This will all sort itself out, but the Committee tends to be a little more color blind to the name on the front of the jersey than the dumb AP voters who don't have time to look at how well a school like Iowa has played this season.
