CFP and anti-climactic bowl show...

CFPs need to go to eight teams.

Seed them.

First round: Home game for the higher seeded team
Semi's: Rotate the two games among the traditional "big bowl" sites (Rose, Orange, etc)
Finals: to the highest bidder

Image how all that news would spice up the selection show!

8 teams would be awful. Basically you give a "do over" to 3 of the 4 conference championship game losers. No way you should be letting teams that just lost right back in.

10 team playoff already happens if you have a auto bid for conference champs. Add 3 more games that weekend with 6 more teams and your 16 team playoff is right there for you.

I had it on so I could find out what bowl game Iowa received, but I swear they never announced it or glossed over it super fast. I swear it was just two hours of talk about the top 4, the same thing they do the whole year. I think I heard them mention Wisconsin and Oregon once. Did they actually announce any other bowl games?

Hell Lane Kiffin got more air time than the non playoff bowls games combined.

If you think the show is garbage, why do you watch?

I don't watch, and the news is all over the internet 5 seconds after it is released, so I know right away anyways.

In fact, more and more often, the news leaks out before the show.
