CFN has Iowa losing

I agree with their "must-see" rating and that is it

CFN Prediction: Arizona 27 … Iowa 23 … Line: Iowa -2
Must See Rating: Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps – 5 … The Event - 1 … 4.5
CFN always shows no respect for the Hawks. I think their pre-season was somewhere around 14-15. I read their page every day and they almost always pick agains Iowa in big games. Maybe its our past history, I don't know.

CFN isn't exactly the Nostradamus of college football prognostication. So, you'll forgive me if I don't lose any sleep over this.

It's funny how when a publication picks the Hawks to win or rank them high it is a great publication, but when they don't then it sucks and they don't know what they are talking about.

That is because the Hawks are the most awesome team and always win. Duh!

In this case I think it has to do with the fact that CFN has spoken highly of the Hawks this season, so it's a surprise that they're picking Iowa to lose this game.

While Iowa's "test" against Iowa State last week was better then either Toledo or The Citadel, the fact remains that neither team knows how good it really is. Arizona's blowout victories are most likely the reason CFN is picking the Cats to win. I'd be willing to bet it's because CFN is looking at Iowa's type of defense and saying it's slow and can't keep up with the speed of Arizona's receivers. (Ask Georgia Tech about how slow Iowa is)

Personally I don't care. Sure it's disappointing to see but it's only the third game of the season. I'm not pulling the "disrespect" card out just yet. Now if we go into Indiana and are underdogs, then I'll have a problem.

Yeah CFN does not like the Hawks. It's ok though! Going to be tough sledding to score 27 on our Defense. We'll seee!!

Of course they got the mandatory "Arizona is going to show surprising speed" in.

Looks like CFN needs new editors, as it should obviously say "Arizona is going to show a surprising lack of speed again".

Well, to be fair, their season prediction has Iowa going 9-3. They used to note which games they thought teams would lose in the prediction, but at a guess, the three they think we'll lose are Arizona, Wisconsin, and OSU.

CFN had Georgia ranked #3 in their preseason poll, so I think they lost any and all credibility with that joke of a preseason poll they released.

Yeah, I can see someone picking an upset for the reasons mentioned. I think AZ gets a lot of passing yards betweent he 20s, and may get two TDs in the game. Maybe a field goal or two. Like the rest of the P10, it will be a pass-first and defend-the-pass type team. In one article, Stoops has said he will put in a few wrinkles and different looks. I suppose all teams do this, though.

Iowa will have a tough time in the first half with AZ going crazy and doing most of their scoring. IA will adjust in the second half and allow one field goal. The problem will be that AZ will probably wind up with the ball in the last few seconds and have a chance to tie. This'll drive me nuts. Our defense will shine again and we will all celebrate at the 'Kinnick' in Scottsdale.

This game will be a good learning experience for the 'good guys'.

If that happens you won't have a problem with CFN as they don't set lines, Iowa is a 1.5 point favorite for Saturday and all CFN is doing is giving an opinion and it doesn't mean Iowa is an underdog or people are betting on Arizona.

And honestly it isn't that big of a surprise that people think a ranked team at home will beat the visiting ranked team. I don't think they are showing disrespect to Iowa by picking Arizona, Arizona is a pretty good football team and playing at home.

They must not be watching the games... I don't see how anyone could pick Arizona over Iowa considering the performances to date.
