CFB Week 5 Bets/Lines

Not finding a ton of games/lines that I have a strong opinion on.

A couple that I’m thinking about....

Vandy -6.5 at home vs N ILL- North IL is on a 3 game slate of Utah, Nebby and now Vandy. Nebby beat N IL 44-8. It’s not a conference game but feel like Vandy may look forward to these non con games after having to deal with SEC.

Northwestern -24.5 - Don’t have good reasoning other than a lot of points for Big Ten matchup. Wisconsin coming off impressive win. Northwestern looking really bad thus far. Hoping those 2 combine for an overreaction of public and giving Wiscy too many pts

I'd take Rutgers to cover on Michigan all day. Harbaugh is rattled and so is his team. 27 and a half points is too many.

Makes me nervous... I agree that seems like a ton of pts but if Harbaugh can bury Rutgers he will.

I ended up taking my 2 bets above and did a 6.5 pt teaser. So I got Vandy as a pick em and Northwestern +31

I'd take Northwestern and the points. The cats always play Wisconsin tough and the Badgers are without their starting safeties in the first half because of targeting calls last week.

I looked at that 24.5 line too. Then I thought about how MSU manhandled NW's offense. I think Wisconsin is just as good on defense as MSU based on the way they hammered Michigan. With the way NW's offense has looked all year...Wisky's defense is going to aggressively attack. Wisconsin offense > MSU Offense = BLOWOUT

Old Dominion
Wisconsin
Clemson

I feel like Ohio State should crush Nebraska, but after their performances on the road against us two years ago and Purdue last year, it's hard to have confidence they won't lay a turd.

I like Iowa to cover the 24 ISU to cover 2.5 and OSU to cover 17.

Wasn’t there some crazy stat that OSU hadn’t pointed against Nebraska in like four years or something?

Here it is...up until November of last year nebraska hadn’t forced OSU to punt since October 2012.

I didn't much like the lines this week.
It's not a question of can they. It's a if they want to cover.
I made 2 bets is all.
I found a little value on PSU, MSU and OSU parlay to win.
I went heavier on Northwestern's total points being over 10.5.

I'm not buying that Northwestern is as bad as those numbers.
Wisconsin has had injuries. They don't need to risk anything on a blow out.
I think Northwestern is smart enough to score a couple TD's.
Conference games have started and everything changes.
Finally. Northwestern always matches up well with Wisconsin and Iowa. If they have fallen to the point that can't score more than 10.5, the west is in absolutely dismal shape.
