Celebration Rule

For example, what if Shaun Prater were to have a pick six and was on the ten yard line or so and pointed to the fans. Would that be a flag?

The problem with this rule, and only problem as far as I can tell, is that is going to be left largely to referee discretion. It has been reported that a lot of meetings were held with officials over the year to help distinguish what should and shouldn't be called, but also that it will be the officials call on the field. With the wide array of behaviors of athletes and of referees it is going to no doubt get controversial at times. In other words, there isn't necessarily a vast list of what is and isn't a penalty, though some things are automatic, but instead a judgement call.

Either way I am fine with it. I am on the younger side, but old school in my thoughts on celebrations. I get sick of the USC's of the sport acting like fools when they cross the goal line, especially when their coaches are right their with them.

I hate this rule. Unless players are taunting opposing teammates or EXCESSIVELY celebrating (there's a fine line there), then it should not be a flag. I see flags flown pretty much for the fact that players get excited after a TD, and that's a joke.
