Cedrick Lattimore and Shady Dantonio

I hope the Iowa staff informs Cedrick Lattimore of Dantonio and MSU's dirty deeds over the years. Faking injuries, blatantly lying to recruits about Iowa staff firings, releasing players from jail to play the next day in games, Dantonio referring to Jim Tressel as a "tragic hero." Dantonio's scuminess has been covered up by his recent success. Hope big Ced makes the right decision and sticks with the Hawks. He seems like a high character kid. His pro prospects and success as a contributing member of society will have a higher upside if he picks the Hawks.

That would be the the very thing Iowa tries not to be in recruiting -- negative. I hope KF does not do that, and I doubt he ever would.

There's one thing you can be certain of,Iowa always takes the high road.Hard work and waiting your turn equals success.

especially since many of those so called dirty deeds are hard to prove, and some claims simply don't hold up to scrutiny once you get into details.

It does not mean MSU does not play dirty, but its just not worth it to go there.

And although things have been quiet recently, Iowa can have its own problems with players getting arrested. It happens when dealing with young college age males. Remember Micah Hyde got arrested and did not miss one minute of action.

Hopefully Lattimore will feel like Wirfs did. Wirfs took a visit to MSU, and he came back and committed to the good guys. He was asked about his visit to MSU and he flat out said he didn't like it there at all, and it showed him that Iowa was the place for him.

^^ correct, just be positive about your own program and what Iowa can offer. The coaches can point to high graduation rates, a great university, super workout and practice facilities, the very real opportunity to play in great games on great teams,

Recruiters could also make it a point to say the team and university does not do certain things if they want without naming names, like oversigning in the SEC, etc.

Last time I checked, Jail IS punishment. Should one be punished for their punishment?

Well NCH I think you should review the case of MSU player Chris Rucker, on probation for a year for assault charges due to a campus fight, who then violates the probation by getting a drunk driving charge which is reduced to reckless driving. rucker serves 8 days in jail and as we all know gets out on a Thursday and is allowed to play at Iowa by "zero tolerance' Dantonio two days later. As a matter of fact Dantonio is quoted as saying he gave Rucker the choice to decide to travel to Iowa City or not.

Now to me that is not good behavioral modification techniques where you dole out negative consequences for negative behaviors. yeah Rucker spent time in jail but this was a Second Strike. To me Rucker should have at least missed one game (an it didnt matter as we all know cuz the hawks crushed sparty that day). Probably negative consequences.

Dantonio is probably a great guy off the field and a good family manand his players probably really like him but to me he does seem to coach his teams to fake injuries, play players who should maybe be suspended, and have some dirty players.

I don't expect Kirk to inform Cedrick of this stuff--I wouldn't make it a point either if I were Kirk. But Cedrick can read forums, and I don't have a problem with him being informed of this stuff from fans.

This post is a joke, to put it mildly.

We've been on both sides of this. We've flipped many a MAC recruit/ISU/UNI recruit. And just last year Michigan got Higdon to flip and send us scrambling to sign the kid with no stars from Bama. We tried to flip Lazard last min too if you believed Rhoads... Its all apart of recruiting. Till the ink is dry from the fax almost all is fair...
