CBS Preseason Top 25: (Iowa) Palm #22, Gottlieb #23

They have Notre Dame rated number 10, 13,17,19 and 20. Glad we have them at Carver. Might be a tougher game than anticipated......

We have a very hard tough schedule, but I do believe we will prevail......

Our non-conference will only be tough if we have to face Tennessee and Kansas, otherwise it isnt much different than last year.

Wichita St was probably better last year than Notre Dame will be this year.

I was too busy scratching my head at Kentucky being #7 to notice all the other wild picks. Damn.
Yeah .. I was scratching my head as well on that one. Then I noticed where he had Mich. That's when I looked a little deeper. Very interesting.

GO HAWKS!!

I actually think that most have Michigan overrated. I just have a feeling that Trey Burke will be missed more than assumed. Great young talent though so I won't be surprised by anything.

I agree with this. Robinson didn't show me that much last year; he's got talent, but he didn't really impress me that much with how he played the game. Unless he has a big year, I see Michigan disappointing. They'll still be good, but not top 10 good.

I don't disagree. I just found it interesting that everyone else had Mich in the top 11 while DG was the only one that had them outside the top 20.

GO HAWKS!!!

The only comment I can make on Michigan is that Irvin was Mr. Basketball in Indiana and Walton is supposed to be the 2nd best PG in this class.

Also, I think people are thinking McGary is going to have a monster year, I am not sure about that, but the Donnal kid is one to watch out for. He is a skinny PF, but extremely athletic, he will surprise. GR3 should be a far better player this season and be able to showcase his whole game.

Walton/Irvin are replacements for Hardaway/Burke, obviously they won't be the players those two were, but the returnees for Michigan are what people are banking on having big seasons. Time will tell, the talent is definitely there.

I really don't care where most of these hacks have Iowa rated, I will wait for the National polls. Even then, if we're slighted, it is up to our coach and players to prove them wrong (which I believe they will).
