Cardinals are in!

I'm a Braves fan and my dad and brothers are HUGE Cards fans. I like that the Cards made it, as I respect their team. But my Braves did almost everything to lose last night. It was kind of painful to watch......because Hudson threw a heck of a game.

The Boston meltdown and the Tampa Bay 7 run, 2 inning comeback last night were the absolute highlights. The 8th and 9th innings of that TB/NYY were just insane to watch. I almost wonder if the Yankees weren't sticking it to the chowds and letting TB comeback. Either way, the 2 out, 2 strike, bottom of the 9th solo shot by TB was incredible to watch. I couldn't believe it. Awesome night for baseball.

Who would think a guy batting .108 having hit his last homerun in april could come off the bench and come through to tie the game? Plus he was down to his final strike!

It amazes me all the dramatics that happened on the final day of a 162 game season.

It was baseball's finest hour....ever. The sheer improbability of the whole nite was overwhelming. Then it doubled down. Craziness. Baseball is the greatest sport..ever.

For those of us old enough to remember the 1985 Playoff soundtrack:
