Canzeri's second TD -- thoughts

Second and one after we failed to score on first and inches with six and a half minutes remaining. Coming out of a timeout, I thought the staff would have called a play less obvious to the defense. It was not clear to me Canzeri body-surfed the ball across the line, even after seeing the replays. I'm glad the call was a TD. Because I'm not sure there was enough evidence on review to reverse a no- TD decision.

I couldn't tell if his knee touched. The knee started to go down and then a defender blocked the view, then all of a sudden he was riding the blocker across the goal line. The result was the right call, not enough evidence to over-turn....Lots of bodies in there, but I think as his knee was going down that's when he had one last surge to the end-zone on top of one of our lineman....

Exactly, I felt I could see canzeri get his left foot under him to keep his left knee from touching the ground. Then you could tell he pushed off strong with his legs. He was in the endzone when the line judge moved in so TD.

As soon as the officials called it a touchdown I was happy even though I knew the review was coming. There was no way to confirm or overrule the play with the way the scrum went.

This. My take too. Left foot flat and then you could see his weight shift to the toes. Cox should get an attaboy for occluding the camera view. Nothing seen overturns the call.

1st and goal at the one. We've run a quick qb sneak extremely successfully. We go to delayed tailback run. Twice. And burn a timeout. I'm usually not critical of play calling or coaching, but I hate this play in short yardage, and I thought this red zone sequence was botched.

A win is a win, but I suspect the coaching staff will have a lot, and I mean a lot, to work on after watching film.

Totally agree with golfer, Mason agreed and thought the time out might have been to talk about why call that play.

First and goal from the one, QB sneak or a quick dive blast with the fullback.

Surprised the second call was basically the same.
