Cant we all just get along?

So there were some good debates going between the Kirkkrazies and Kirkaters. I go away for the weekend(which was lovely by the way) and I come back and what do I see? I see that you all have went back to name calling. Jeeeeezel Petes fellas. There is only a few of us left here.

Would you really want a site that everyone has the same view on the program? If thats the case then maybe JonDieselMiller(if he hasnt been banned yet) will make it so you can only post in threads that you agree with the OP? Is that what YOU PEOPLE want?

I'm guilty of some of the name calling. THe problem I have is you can't hardly start a thread without it turning into a debate between the KF supporters and KF haters.

If people would stay on topic it would be a lot better around here.

There, now I can stop crying.

It's starting to remind me of the early days where I had to create a Stoops/Bowlsby forum as to keep the genuine football topics separate from those wanting to take shots at Kirk and Bowlsby since bob didn't hire Stoops.

It's tiring and divisive. We've reached the repetitive negative posting threshold for a lot of people. We get that some don't like Kirk.
 


I get it some people dont like KF, & some just dont think he can turn it back around. Thats OK but when you cant carry on a conversation with out swearing or calling names, on both sides, its really sad. Grow up people. I happen to think KF will turn it back around but enjoy discussion with other who show with valid point why they disagree.This type of thing is part of what ruined the other board. Kick Off is coming soon. Were all Hawk fans. Come on !!
 


I find little reason to come here anymore, as the nattering naboobs of negativity ruin the board.
 


In fainess some posters Freed for example makes his poins in a respectful way of why he thinks the KF era is over. I just think he is underestimating the man

They may be respectful but his points rarely include accurate information.
 


I enjoy the banter and the differing points of view. Some take it a bit too far, but that's the nature of an anonymous forum. People here are fans, they have strong opinions. To say negativity isn't allowed is going to make for some awfully boring discussion.
 


People have the right to be negative. We had a terrible year. But disrespectful is another issue. If one cant make a argument without calling names they dont have much to base their argument on

Explain, please, how we are supposed to "get along" when people start comparing KF to Steve Perry. If you can do THAT, I say we put JDM in as "Site Director" and let you run the day-to-day.
 




It's hard to get 2 people to agree the sky is blue on here without someone saying something about someone else's mamma.
 


I have been trying to not turn threads into a Kirk convo when the topic was not on kirk directly but on the team.

To say that anyone who think kirk should go is negative I think is unfair. Thats like saying we are not going to talk about the offense because its been very bad. We will start talking about it as it gets better.

I dont remember the name but there was a poster who was banned who had the "well we suck and there is no hope" attitude. I get that you cant have a convo with that person. However people that cant admit that there are problems are just as bad.

When you put a point of view on this site I would think you would hear the other side. I thought that was was the site was for. If somebody makes a ridic statement Id say just leave it alone because they are messing with you or they cant be fixed.

I think it's been better here for at least a couple months now. When I started it was really bad. Okeefe and ghost were bad at disagreeing with everything anyone said, but both have been playing nicer with others as of late (maybe they are in a timeout, dunno).

I think ghost--at least that "username"--is in "permanent" time-out.
 


Even if we were a high-flying glamour program like USC or 'bama there'd be people who disagree with the goings on in the program. Even without any substantive scandal, ie 'roids, questionable student-athletes progress through school there would be points of contention amongst the fans. Some would simply dislike the HC for his personality or play-calling in certain situations if nothing else.
