Can't wait til we humiliate NW this weekend

Did we trade KOK to NW? The only chance we have Saturday is if he calls the plays for NW. Persa owns us and although I think the world of Norm, his D has no answer for a pass oriented spread offense. Now if we had a real O coordinator, we might win a shootout.

You could be on to something about the D and NW, look at what NW has scored against Iowa the last 8 times and it makes you wonder how Iowa isn't 0-8 against them:

It is funny how everyone was so confident last week because Iowa owned PSU and they had no shot to beat Iowa but they did, now this week NW has owned Iowa the last 5 years and Iowa has no shot to beat NW.

It took Persa and NW scoring a TD with under 2 minutes left to beat Iowa last year, it isn't like they dominated the game. What has killed Iowa in 4 of the last 5 meetings have been turnovers and one huge injury to Stanzi, nothing NW did.

Also why blame KOK? KF is the one with the final say on what plays get called. If KF lets KOK open things up and have JVB throw the ball around Iowa will put up points.

Glutton for punishment huh?

Pretty much, going to laugh hard at this lot after persa once again works Iowa over.

Humiliate? Interesting.

Reality is we are 1-5 since 2004, so I will take any victory. I will be honest, I fear Persa..

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

More like, "we get humiliated by NW". We are going to get our **** rocked, and it won't even be close. 31-10, NW wins. Iowa will have a FG before half, and will get the TD in garbage time.

The signs are not positive for this game. The Kitties will stack the box and blitz like crazy. Coker hasn't shown he can beat the run blitz and Vandy is a deer in the headlights against pressure.

Now this could be the game where the staff really decides to make necessary significant changes in the scheme and personnel. But it could just as easily be the game that puts the team in the lose this year to win next year mode.

How much did Army win by?

Shouldnt be hard for Iowa to pound NW. Persa has looked only about 70% this year.

I don't think Persa played against Army. He's a completely different beast, and as we all know that when playing NW (like ISU) it's a different game no matter what talent is on the field.

I've never seen so many fans give up on a team, quite sad actually. BTW, I did watch the game last week and just as disappointed as everyone else, but I believe they can turn things around.

I think Persa only had 331 yds passing last week. Glad to hear is isn't at full strength yet.......I can only hope we find someway to get some pressure on him.

I have watched the jesus camp documentary. Its creeping stuff....people breeding Christian terrorists in Missouri.

HUGE difference in giving up on a team (which I haven't), and having feelings contrary to "Iowa football is going to humiliate NW," which we haven't done in almost a decade. Our largest margin of victory in that time span (which is also our only victory) was 11.

I do think we win this one and I think we win it by 10 or more ... I think the Hawks come out fired up ...

I don't have a clue whether we win or lose, but if we win it won't be because we are fired up silly. It will be due to the fact we executed the game plan. College football, or football in general, is not about motivation but execution.
Execution. Execution. Execution!!!!!
