Can/will Illinois and Minnesota go dancing?

Lunardi has Illinois in his "last 4 in" while MN is "last 4 out". Will the big 10 get 6 teams in?

Illinois just lost an 11 point lead as OSU is on a 15-0 run to go up 54-50.

What say you?

Nantz just said "It's not often you see a 20 point run". The first thought that crossed my mind was "Unless you're watching Iowa". Man, I want to be good again.

I think Illinois is probably in the tournament now, just a hunch. Minnesota is back on the bubble IMO, but really needs to be beat Purdue today, I think, to be sure.

I am with both of you. IL should be a lock already but MN still needs another win. The Gophers have son very bad losses (Michigan, NW, and Indiana).

When Nance said that, I went, "WHAT!?!?"...I guess he only meant that we don't see OFFENSIVE 20 point runs!:(

I said in January I didn't think Illinois was a tournament team, and I am prepared to own that statement. They are definately in. This year has one of the worst bubble fields of all time, and despite their 19 wins and rpi in the 70s, Illinois has too many big wins to ignore, and no one can match that.

well houston popped another bubble so it might be tougher to see two big10 bubble teams make it. Nevermind, Rhode island would have to be put out first.

I think if Minnesota beats Purdue (which right now they are pounding them) they are in, and Illinois will find themselves on the wrong side of the bubble. That's just my opinion. I've never found Illinois to be that impressive. Minnesota's early season win against Butler may help them out.

Illinois will make it on their impressive wins, such as Wisconson twice, Michigan St., Clemson, and Vandy.

Unless a few more teams like Houston snake spots in the tourney, Illinois is in.

I don't think the Clemson win is all that impressive anymore though. The ACC is not that impressive. The Vandy win doesn't look as good right now with they way Mississippi State handled them. They are saying Mississippi State is in now after that win, so someone has to move off. If Washington wins tonight that probably eats another bubble teams spot. It's so hard to tell right now because they tend to overreact to every game that is played in the conference tournaments.

According to Lunardi, Minny is last one in right now,and the illini are 2nd one out.
After New Mexico St upset Utah St and Houston won...the illini fell out...ouch..Boo hoo. Minny is in unless Miss St upsets Ky tomorrow.
