I dont have the time or inclination to do the math, but if we both win out are we screwed? I don't think the B12 is any better than the B10 this year. But my opinion means nothing. However, I am a realist and if we go 12-0 and go to the Rose Bowl, that is all we can do. That alone is something I can live with.

The Hawks may not need now to pass Texas. Texas could jump to the two spot, and if LSU can beat Alabama, we'd be three. That'd mean we'd need Florida to lose (or Texas to A&M on Thanksgiving night) sometime to get us into the big game (provide we beat Northwestern, Ohio State and Minnesota).

As long as texas stays undeafeated, we will not pass them. Tonight is a good reason why. they are just handing it to a top 25 team. also, another reason is the human factor in the polls. iowa is not getting any respect, and after today, i am afraid iowa did not change any voters mind. they may have even lost a few votes.

We would need some help in the polls, as in needing some of the other undefeated teams - particularly the non-BCS ones - to lose so we move up.
