In the 12 games,which he played a grand total of 36 minutes,what did you see out of Stokes that makes you think he gets playing time? Just because he might know what Fran wants out of him doesn't mean he can play. BTW,he's not a 3.

You can definately tell herby is back. Soon we are going to be arguing how great these walk on players are and how none of us have any faith in them or Fran.

you expect a 6'7 190 lb kid to play PF?
as for playing time he was just a RS freshmen. you expected him to play like a 5th year SR?
i am not saying he is going to start nor am i saying he will get 20-30 minutes per game, but it would not surprise me if he got 5-8 minutes per game, especially if May is not good to go or Fran does not sign this elusive 6th player everbody keeps talking about.
 
6th player? We are going to get to play a 6th player!!! That should help us win a few games.

none but its sure seems like a lot of you want Fran to sign somebody to fill that last scholly that's available.
as for Stokes i just don't see the need to have a walkon RS, afterall he is paying for everything, thats a alot to ask of a kid to pay for everything for 5 years and not plan on playing the kid, and he is a 3, we are talking adout a 6'7 D. Stokes, not 6'10 G Stokes

So now you expect Fran to hand out "pity minutes" to walk-ons that choose to stay on the team for 5 years?

Nobody is going to fault Darius for busting his *** for 4 years and then calling it a career. Just because he redshirted does not mean he has to stick around for that fifth year.

And Stokes could have went to a JUCO and got more playing time and possibly a scholly. As soon as Fran offered him the chance to walk-on he jumped at it, even though his parents thought that they should talk it over. Kid loves being a Hawk and he knows his job is to get his teammates ready and maybe getting a couple minutes here and there.

Is it ok with you if Fran uses it or will you get mad?
 
i could careless, but i highly doubt 6-8 minutes a game as pity minutes, any playing time he gets he will have earned them, so do me a favor and get a clue and stop looking down your nose at the kid, he has the genes, his dad had a great career for the hawks, his sister was a McD AA for the women side of college ball, he is what most with a brain, would call a late bloomer,

There you go again showing your maturity level again. Seriously can't anyone have debate with you without you resorting to name calling? One would think the last 1 week ban you got would have taught you a lesson.
 
maybe its you and 136 who need a week ban as you two try to pick a fight with every post i make, you are not try make simple conversation you ridicule most if not all posts.

I am most excited about that potential 6th player that nobody seems to be talking about much. That should be something we can all agree on???
 
the only name that has been discussed elsewhere is Trent Lockett a possible 1 n done transfer from ASU, he is their leading scorer and will graduate this summer after 3 years, he wants to move back to be close to his mother because of health issues, she lives in Minnesota. other than that i know very little about him if someone can find some info i would appreciate it. this is something i found being discussed on HR
