Can we agree on something?

Can we stop with the "the kid I'm most high on in this basketball class is someone no one's talking about..."
Yes, Meyer, Ingram, and Clemmons didn't get a lot of pub at first, but here's why.

1. Woody and Gesell are rated higher and come with more hype.

but most importantly

2. Woody and Gesell are LOCAL kids. If Meyer played for Valley he'd get more talk because some of us would actually see him play on occasion.

The first statement has been used so much this last month or so that it isn't true anymore. There are far more Clemmons threads than anyone except Woody.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get it off my chest. I'm stoked about this class. Lots of potential, but I'm not going to put unnecessary expectations on any of them.

You know who I'm excited about that no one is talking about? Alex Thompson. That kid is going to be the next Raef Lafrentz.

You got a point, which is why the buzz about Morgan & Lohaus has been growing since the state tournament.

I am just excited to see Meyer as I am Woodbury in a Iowa uniform. The big deal about getting Woodbury was finally winning a recruiting battle against Roy Williams. Had he not gotten involved or had Woodbury committed much earlier in the process there may not have been as much hype.

Personally the kid im most excited about is that denning kid, watch out for.him and the other walk-ons

how about the Stokes kid, if Fran does not get another player i think he get playing time at the 3, he has put on 30 lbs and as being a 3rd year RS SO, knows the style and what Fran wants out of him,
before the "he's just a walkon that can never see the court unless Iowa is struggling" crowd comes out in full force, Daryle Moore was a walkon that Tom Davis got out of the field house and had a very good career

O.m.g. Really Herby??? This maybe worse then the Gabe predictions.

Darryl Moore was @ Iowa when I was attending basketball camps. He was as good as a player as he was a role model.

The Moore kid was still a walkon there's no getting around that fact and all your stats do is prove my point how a WALKON can and does perform when given the chance. ISU had a walkon by the name of Bubu Palo avg'd 13.8 minutes per game,
again i cannot help the ignorant people in how they think about walkons or more importantly look down their nose at kids, as not being worthy of even being on the team

I sure hope that Woodbury and Gessell or few of the recruits will meet expectations of helping to get Iowa back to the NCAA. This is an extremely important class for Fran.
