Big Ten is to loaded for #8 Seed Iowa team to make that kind of run. Just my opinion.
In 2001 Iowa was the 6th Seed and got to face last place Northwestern, #3 Ohio State and #7 Penn State who upset #2 MSU to get to the finals. In the finals Iowa faced #4 Seed Indiana who beat #1 Indiana. So aside from the Ohio State matchup Iowa got the most favorable path to the Title game imaginable..

Luke Recker was one of those players, had he not injured that knee, he could have been a legend. At least a very great Hawk. Potentially... Lots of past Hawkeyes who could have been good, had the injury bug (or what have you) not gotten them. Some self inflicted, some not.

Won't go 4 for 4 I see one win and lose in the 2nd round, but improvement this year. Next season Iowa will play in the NCAA tournamnet.

I just read that MSU is missing one of their star freshmen. In my dreams, here's what happens:
1) Iowa beats Illinois by 7 to avenge the late season loss.
2) In a 'stunner', Iowa beats MSU by 2
3) In the rubber game, Iowa and Indiana play a close contest with Iowa winning on a Matt Gatens 3 pointer at the buzzer
4) Iowa plays galantly, but in the end, OSU pulls away and wins by 12
Somebody wake me up when the tourney starts.
