Can Morris Redshirt next year?

I was just wondering if Morris could Redshirt next year since he played this year. Wasn't sure about the NCAA rules and regulations.

WHAT KIND OF IDIOT ASKS THIS QUESTION. COME ON, YOU'RE NOT A FOOTBALL FAN IF YOU DON'T KNOW THIS. BLAH BLAH BLAH

**Please note sarcasm.

ohhhhhhhhh this is going to be the most epic awesome thread ever!!!!!!

**Also, note sarcasm.

Not anymore. Redshirts were recently disallowed by the NCAA due to the negative psychosocial impact on athletes. Studies have proven that advancing with your chronologically appropriate age / peer group results in a 42% greater development of self esteem.

The NCAA has adopted this nurturing approach to eliminate the potential for student-athletes to "feel badly" because they got left behind and / or were simply not as physically, emotionally or intellectually "ready" to participate as some of their peers, thus being branded as "outcasts" and basically shunned.

But since he played this and if he gets hurt with all of the legal ramifications it seems like it could get confusing regarding redshirting and such.

Some of you say Briggs can't duplicate the Coker thread, yet you've already contributed (as have I) and he is off to a pretty good start. He did the right thing by choosing a young and popular player, now let's just see how this plays out.

And why is that chick with the big rack in a white tank eyeing me up from the banner on the left side of the screen?

I say we redshirt our entire team that is eligible for it just to make sure there is no question about who can/can't...

But technically yes, he can.

15 posts compared to over 2,000 is small potatoes. Plus, to truly replicate the Coker Thread, we'd need somebody to come along and play a complete a** schtick in every way. That was what turned the Coker Thread into the monster that it became.
