Can Meyer kick the ball into the endzone??

Seriously..He needs to kick the ball deeper...Our opponents starting field position is terrible. In all three games this year the kick coverage has been pretty bad..Kick the ball into the endzone and be safe..!! Geese..It's just smarter..don't you think?

3 games of evidence says no, and it hurts more considering our kickoff coverage has been shaky.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think he has the leg to do it consistently.

I am very optimistic of his continued development on FG. Even though he missed two yesterday he looks good to me. The outcome of a few games will be riding on his leg.

Whatever they are trying to do,aint working. Please start kicking it deeper,if possible.
Not sure if he can do it ,tho. Strong leg on fgs,but not on kickoffs? Weird.

No doubt. Think those are direction kicks to cut off part of the field.

I don't think Meyer can kick high and in the endzone. Think the coaches will always take high as a choice.

It's probably a give and take with hang time. You don't want to line-drive the KO into the endzone and give the returner a lot more time to return the ball. On the other hand, if you could kick the ball into the endzone with some hangtime, the extra time and distance would give the coverage team a better chance.

I think the coverage will get better. The last two coverages were pretty decent. Just need some of those special teamers to step up and really deliver.

I just keep thinking about the "Great Nate Kaeding"...He would boom the ball out of the endzone...and the crowd would love it! I loved it...Fun to watch and a safe play..

Is that otherwise useless Australian punter still on the team? If he is, they should try him on kickoffs. I bet he could do the job with his big leg.

I swear I remember KF saying they want the ball high and short of goal line. If true they're doing just that. Although I'm not sure its working.

Nate said they wanted him to do the same thing. He liked to kick it through the endzone, but they wanted to pin the team back inside the 20.

What happened to the starters being on special teams as well? I remember guys like Greenway, Sanders, Cosidine doing double duty nearly their whole career. KOR/PR coverage has been poor for a few years now.
