Can CJ Become Iowa's all-time winningest QB?

Why do you feel the need to tear Jake down? You do understand that you don't have to tear him down and bash on him in order to say CJ was better. All Jake did was try to be the best player he could. My guess is he has already been more successful and will be more successful in life than 99.9% of people out there.

KF didn't do anything to drive Willies away. Every player wants more playing time, but good for KF that he makes them earn it first. Willies wasn't close to being better than Tevaun, KMM, Powell, Hillyer, or Vandeberg, and that has been show by just how good those WR were/are for us. Willies was getting on the field every bit as much as Powell, Hillyer and Vandeberg and he didn't have a clue where he was supposed to be lining up, didn't know the offense, got hurt, and then decided to QUIT on the freaking team, not just once, but again after deciding he didn't want to atone for quitting the first time.

It's about wording. It was obvious that JR wanted to please KF as a main priority at the expense of his own talents.. That personality is probably why he succeeded with JH at Michigan and if listening could actually develop him. KF does better with QBs who aren't what he wants (based on what I see)...they have a bit of recklessness about them. JR is certainly not reckless. As much as many on here don't like JH, I don't remember ever hearing him throw JR under the bus when he made mistakes. He is a QB coach above all else it would appear. JF sort of reminds me of the Zooker with more sensible moves (coaching and off field) and recruiting ability. Look what he did with Kap.

Jake made a good choice going to Michigan. He received much better QB coaching at Michigan which was going to give him the best possible shot at making an NFL roster. Also he was clearly the 2nd best QB on the team in terms of ability and is lucky he played in 2014. IMO, Kirk should have given CJ time in 2013 as a RS FR. He would have been in way over his head but he is far too talented to keep on the bench the entire game.

Our $50 million coach thought Rudock was better in 2014. I'll never get over that one
Considering the season JR had a Michigan last year and making an NFL roster this year, I'd say he is a pretty good QB. I'll take the judgment of our $50 million coach over yours.

Iowa is a much better place to play quarterback than Michigan. Iowa has better facilities and better coaching. Iowa player development carries over when players go on to the nfl or other college programs.

From a "winningest quarterback" standpoint.....in the Ferentz Era, it's got to be Stanzi at the moment. He won a total of 28 games, 3 bowl games (including an Orange Bowl), 14 straight games and 15 out of 17 between 2008 and 2009. And to top it all off, he had the greatest post-game interview in the history of CFB.

Love it or leave it!

That was the 1st case of a more talented QB left on the shelf behind a "Jake".
What's a few W's for the sake of being really smart and a good film guy.;)
