Camp Randall south

Wisconsin game attendance: 69812

Northwestern game attendance: 66838
Michigan State game was homecoming weekend and had 69025(inflated by homecoming crowd).
Western Michigan 66886
Missouri State 64201
Northern Illinois 67402

Iowa averaged 66870 before the Wisconsin game. 3,000 more fans showed up to Wisconsin and that's including the entire 4,000 allotment. (In previous games, the visiting team allotment was available for Iowa fans).
That's a minimum of 7,000 Badger fans inside Kinnick. 10% of a stadium is a lot.
You can't assume all 3,000 fans were Wisconsin's. Other factors come into play, such as it's a rivalry game and Iowa was playing a better opponent. I was at the game yesterday, and there was no way 10% of the crowd was from Wisconsin.

True, but then you have to factor in all the fans that purchased from Stubhub and other secondary market places.
I tailgated at Finkbine and there were a lot of red. Not that it matters. More fans that show up means more money for Iowa.

But for Iowa to not even sell out the game is absolutely pathetic.

There were a lot of things that were wrong with the game yesterday. This is not one of them. I was actually surprised by how few Wisconsin fans were there.

No the way our offense played was absolutely pathetic.

It's funny how different peoples perceptions were yesterday. I was there and I thought there were more 'away' fans then usual. There were some right next to me and my daughter. This woman in red couldn't shut up. Then there was a vocal bunch behind me. I was in the south end zone. The SE corner was full of red that extended pretty far centrally. Throughout the stadium there was a lot if little groups in red. Maybe it's just because red is an eye catching color and against a black background, they really stood out.

didn't notice the red on TV. However if you thought you saw W. fans they may have been color blind iowa fans holding their red pon pons.

....and Barta thought it was a good idea to hand out red pom pons to a third of the crowd
Raise the red, white and blue pom pons before the game or halftime, but Iowa fans raising red pom pons?! Ugh!

I'm a military veteran, and pick a home game where the visiting team is not red or blue, especially if the game is on 75% of TV sets on ABC. Michigan State would have made more sense. You don't have to do a military salute in November.

I went to the Wisconsin-Iowa game in 1998, and there was a lot of red in the audience that day, as well.
Madison is 3+ hour drive, and you'd expect to see around 5,000 minimum every game at Kinnick.

When I saw Iowa fans raising the red pom pons during the game, it reminded me of that YouTube clip of the USC Trojan cheerleader jumping when UCLA scored a touchdown.

It was very Red. and it did look bad on TV
Kinnick looked horrible on TV today. Waaaay too much red. Especially close to the field.

Hell, the few games I've been able to attend in person, I was never able to sit that close to the field. Whats up with that?

Very poor impression to TV land and potential recruits.

Only since the re-seating of Kinnick and we have to be the only program in the country that gives seating across the entire front 15 rows of the stadium to opponents.

They belong in the nosebleed corners like everywhere else, but I'm not counting on our inept decision makers to fix it this time around.
It was already said it will be changing with this year's reseat.

All I know is the 2 guys sitting behind me saying "That's another Wisconsin Badger 1st and 10" made me want to punch them. It was just a frustrating 2nd half (as usual), and I didn't want to be near any Badger fans.

Most people aren't aware of this but the majority of those seats right behind the bench are the players/AD tickets. The rest of the visitor's tickets are in the corners of the stadium.

It doesn't matter as the visitor section is also changing next year when they re-seat Kinnick, it will be much more split up and will be spread out all over.
