If Cam had Dalton's defense it would be a different story
Carolina was sooooo bad last year - this year they have a punchers chance in every game because of Cam. Will be interesting to see how his career progresses

Was it mentioned that Carolina's defense is terrible? Defense wins championships. And they're supposed to protect 4th quarter leads. I wouldn't be too quick to pin all of those blown leads on Newton.
cincinnati only won 4 games last year. lost palmer, ocho, etc. they were just as down as carolina. the difference is the supposed leader of cam newton in the 4th qtr sulks when things start going bad. he is great when they are winning and cranky when they arent. man up and lead your team you are a qb. he lacks what people love the ability to raise your team up when it is crunch time. hopefully he can develop it.

carolina has a bad defense but when you have 4th qtr leads sometimes 1 1st down or a couple can be the difference and cam didnt help them out in those games and made big mistakes.
as iowa fans we should understand this. we had times this year and last year where 1 1st down could have won the game and not put all the pressure on that defense.
6 times this happened if it were just half that i wouldnt worry about it but 6 out of 15 games. for those of you not good with numbers that is 40 percent. that means it happens about as much as tim tebow completes passes.

This is the most ignornant post of the year. I also hate tebow very very much but not because of what he stands for as a person. That was uncalled for if your gonna hate him then hate his football style or the media who hypes him up.

Are you counting games they had the lead in the 4th, lost it and came back to win? Because if not I can only find four games where they blew 4th quarter leads, Atlanta (twice), Arizona, and New Orleans.
