Calhoun or Dakich?

Would you rather listen to Calhoun or Dakich?

Don't care, doesn't matter. I am not sure how ESPN assigns games. We aren't getting Bilas, Williams or Simon. Does anybody want Vitale or Walton? If you do; you aren't getting them, because at this point they stay close to home.
 
'77 said it perfectly. You can understand what JockItch .. .. er .. .. Dakich is saying, and this year he hasn't been as hard on Iowa. I have a hard time understanding Calhoun.

What few words of Calhoun I can understand, I find informative. The problem is, that's about 10% of what he says. I Go with Dakich only because I can understand him.
 
Dakich. I know people hate him because of the Woodbury eye poking incident, but I actually enjoy listening to him call a game. I'd rather listen to him then announcers like Vitale or Bill Walton or Jon Gruden who say everyone is the best ever and the greatest player or coach in history.

Plus, he's not afraid to go after programs like Michigan State or Indiana lately. Most announcers would never touch the blue blood programs, but he will, so I respect that at least.
 
I would rather have:
Not understanding Jim Calhoun 90% of the time, then,
understanding Dick Vitale 100% of the time.

Dakich is very good for B1G basketball, just like Wayne Larivee was very good for B1G football.
 
Seems that ESPN turned up the volume on Coach Calhoun's mic during the Wisconsin game. With that change, I'll take him over Dakich. He really seems to have insight and enjoys the good plays. Dakich just seems to ramble.
 
Calhoun is growing on me. He literally doesn't stop mumbling the entire game but he knows basketball

No one questions his knowledge of the game it is the mumbling that it is difficult to understand. He had Rece Davis as a play by play partner for the Wisky game. Rece Davis is a pro's pro so he was able to flush out some things, get clarity on others. If you get some run of the mill schmuck doing play by play who can't help Calhoun along then it can be a brutal listen some times.
 
I actually enjoy Dakich. Has energy and has lots of 'color' to add to game. Calhoun is just so mono-toned and can hardly understand what he is actually saying.
