Caleb Johnson

I have been waiting patiently for a thread about this guy. Certainly would be interested in feedback about our RB group + new recruits. Looks good to me. We, like every other Power 5 team, need to be 3 deep. Tough to tell about Caleb with sub par OL, but I see all BT potential in this freshman. With Iowa emphasis on the run game over the years, we should be able to recruit well in this category. Thoughts? Sure has emerged as our go to guy IMHO.

If he caught balls he would be incredible hard to stop, don't know why he isn't being utilized in the passing game more, unless he has terrible hands. Got to get that guy in space and we wouldn't need to score so many field goals.

Huck had a premonition. I've been clamoring to see more Kaleb Johnson, and this guy really came into his own today. Hope that he keeps progressing and can pull the OL and QB along with him.

He’s a star in the making. Give him some time and w/ improved vision he has all b10 potential. Example is the 3rd and 1 where he decided to try and take it outside. Had he turned in and gone downhill he would’ve gotten the first down. He choice to try and go outside and got stopped for no gain. However I don’t want that one play to take away from the day he had. He’s good now but could be great w/ some more experience.

He is a GREAT player. Wow. What a terrific game today. The whole team punked a good Purdue team on the road. Huge win
