Caarhawk owes Brommer an apology.

He's not the only one, but he's the first to come to mind. The really sad thing about it is, had Brommer played on a team with average talent and depth he would have red shirted his freshman season, meaning he would be just beginning to blossom as a sophmore.

Not only is he not "a wasted scholarship" he's actually a very very solid post player.

Tonight was just another lesson for this young team. I think there is more to this group of Hawks than any of us...even the most optimistic...realize. I like Cole but we'll be tough next year...real tough.

I already beat you to it. I ate crow in the game thread prior to halftime. I really am shocked at his emergence, I just never saw it coming. But, as long as we are calling each other out for incorrect over the top player assessments, great game by Murphy tonight, huh? ;)

Who's Murphy?

Ohhh Dre. I don't know what else I said other than he has the talent to walk on to Iowa, and that's true....

I've said lots of dumb stuff though, surely it wouldn't be too hard to find something I said that I'd have to issue a mea culpa over.

May I remind you that it was just one game. I don't like to rag on college athletes, but given his past.....more people will be off the bandwagon sooner than later.

You know I have been as hard on Brommer as anybody. So if anyone was going to agree with you about jumping off the bandwagon it would likely be me. But, he has had an upward trajectory this season. If it was just one game that would be one thing, but he is starting to do some things well and staying away from the stuff he doesn't do well. Lick always talked about having guys work within their limits. But the system still dictated certain things. Fran's system seems to have more flexibility for guys to work within their skill set.

Who doesn't owe the kid an apology!! Fran said, he would be one who would benefit from his style of play. Looks to be spot on so far!!
